For over four decades, Family Resource Associates has been a cornerstone of mental health support in Connecticut — grounded in the belief that every family deserves access to skilled, empathetic care.

Raymond T. Laskowski Founds FRA
He established Family Resource Associates in Stratford, Connecticut — a practice built on clinical excellence and genuine compassion for families in need.

Kate earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Sacred Heart University, her Master's degree in Social Work from Fordham University (with a Social Work/Law specialization), and her Doctorate in Organizational Leadership Psychology from William James College. She spent fifteen years as Chief of Residential and Treatment Services at a Massachusetts residential program serving boys with complex trauma; she has held clinical roles including juvenile court clinician, outpatient therapist with adolescents and adults, and was a Cornell University consultant specializing in the evidence-based CARE model. Since 2021, Kate has focused on growing both the Connecticut and Massachusetts practices to ensure quality, accessible outpatient mental health counseling for those in need. She currently focuses her work with adults who have grief and complex trauma, as well as couples therapy. Kate prides herself on developing meaningful therapeutic relationships filled with compassion and honesty.
